THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SCHOOL-WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONS AND SUPPORTS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD SETTINGS: A MIX MODEL RESEARCH

It is important to support children’s appropriate behaviors and social skills extinguish problem at an early stage as much possible. Therefore, researchers are in search of effective evidence-based interventions deal with the young children. The “Positive Behavioral Interventions Supports (PBIS) Approach” seems be most widespread approach since 2000s. PBIS aims increase quality life child by making positive changes environment child. study explores effectiveness School-Wide Positive Turkish education model (SWPIBS-TR) on within childhood settings. intervention was carried out four main stages 14 steps. conducted school managers, teachers, staff, primary caregivers, all children without disabilities a preschool/kindergarten Turkey. research mixed-method "parallel convergent research" has been adopted. findings indicated significant decreases increases level. So, researchers, policymakers, teachers should put SWPBIS-TR approaches their curriculum
